“Why are you up?”
Scott’s head whips up and Shane is standing at the sink. But Scott can only look at the hickey, dark and possessive, on Shane’s neck. It sits like a wilting dahlia where his shirt slips off just above his collarbone, burgundy and obscene, and the hunger churns in Scott’s gut again.
Scott clears his throat, voice gruff. “Couldn’t sleep.”
The younger man hums and says, “You look tired.”
“What are you doing awake?” Scott asks. What are you doing awake after being fucked into the mattress by Ilya Rozanov three hours ago?
Scott isn’t sure what he’s expecting when he gets the apartment room next to Shane, but it’s certainly not to find out that his teammate and one of their biggest rivals have been fucking for months.

“Lawrence, please,” Adam says desperately from where he's kneeling on the floor, iron-tanged crimson soaking his jeans. The corpse of the man he's just killed lays off to the side, watching with a blank, unfeeling gaze.
On the chair in front of him, Lawrence smiles, resting his head on his fist, braced on his thigh. He rubs his thumb over the blood on Adam's lips, smearing it like lipstick. “Surprised nobody's done something terrible to you with how pretty you are. I don't know how they can resist.”
Adam is a day guard at the pizzeria John Kramer owns, and as a follower of Jigsaw it's his job to kill and collect a soul for them to trap inside a new animatronic endoskeleton. He gets a bit carried away, and Lawrence walks in while he's working.
Lawrence is not pleased with it.

“I've never liked being in control, I guess. It's just easier to let someone else take over, and then if it all crashes down it's on them.” Adam laughs wryly.
Lawrence begins to rub absent-minded circles into Adam's waist then. To comfort him. That was all. “That's not necessarily a bad thing, to not want that. Especially if you find someone who does, um, want it.”
Adam looks up at him under his lashes, framing twin pools of icy water. He could drown in those eyes and adore every second. “Like you.”
Lawrence’s mouth is very dry. He licks his lips. “Yeah, like me.”
Lawrence and Adam watch movies together after a long day. They start out as friends. They end up something more.
