Summary

Faced with a new reality, Percy must learn to how to navigate his life after the war.
Annabeth meanwhile always has a plan. After all they had promised each other- as long as we're together. She was going to make sure they had each other- no matter what form that takes.

“Look, they have a lemonade one,” Rachel says and, as soon as she does, her face flushes red. Annabeth tilts her head, trying to figure out how Rachel knows that her shampoo smells like lemons. She definitely hasn’t washed her hair recently.
Honest to an admirable fault, the redhead mumbles, “It’s Percy’s favorite.”
Now it’s Annabeth’s turn to flush. Rachel tosses the jar of lip balm to Annabeth and it feels like a decision has been made between them, but neither of them know what it is. At least, Annabeth doesn’t.

He let go of her hand to reach for another sip of nectar. It didn’t burn as much. Disappointing.
She scooted closer to him on the bed. She was going to kill him. He would die right here wanting her. Wanting to be who he was three years ago so that he could be with her.
OR
Percy spent three years in Tartarus, and he isn't the same person he was when he went into the Pit. More frighteningly, part of the Pit may have come back with him.
