Summary
After years of using the Story Desk, Meighanne thought she had learned all she needed to about the magic that allows her to travel between stories. That was until she opened her textbook for her European History class and instead of Marie Antoinette's face in the book, she saw her own face staring back at her.
The Goddess' Tree may have been saved from certain doom by her grandmother decades ago, but the balance of magic has yet to recover and has slowly been sending the Story Kingdom into chaos. The desk is more powerful than ever before, Isabel is the weakest she ever has been, and Meighanne can't seem to stop attracting the attention of unknown beings and spirits alike- each more powerful than the last.
With the fragile fabric between the worlds of the Story Kingdom being threatened by the mere existence of magic, it might be too late for her to do anything by herself, but it might not be too late for her companions.

Inspired by ideas that StrawberryMilk had:
Raz and Lili (through some form of misunderstanding) think that the other is going to break up with them. This leads to them avoiding the other because they can't break up if they don't talk to each other!
However with the gossipy nature of the Motherlobe and the kids trying to find ways to make sure their relationship doesn't peter out, the rest of the Motherlobe learns about the situation quickly.

Summary
Razputin Aquato, the youngest member of the Psychonauts has gone missing and his disappearance is accompanied by a slew of additional tragedies and unanswered questions that continue to plague those who were closest to him as they go unresolved for many years.
Now, the Psychonauts are dealing with a new threat. They find evidence that a previous associate of theirs is kidnapping and recruiting young psychics for a splinter group calling themselves the Cerebral Soldiers. It’s uncertain what their motives are, but given the way the organization is run, they can’t be good.
While the Psychonauts scramble with what little information they have, hoping to find out as much as possible about the group before it’s too late, others among them continue to look for answers elsewhere as it becomes apparent that the mystery behind the past tragedies and the present conflict might be one and the same.
This takes place six years after the sequel.
