Lena hums. “And here I thought you were supposed to be saving me, tonight.”
Kara blinks up from the food to Lena’s chest—oops—before meeting Lena’s eyes. “Save you?” she says. “Haha. What. Like, uh, like Supergirl? Or whatever?”
“No, silly,” Lena says, smiling so fondly at her that it makes Kara a little lightheaded. “As my bodyguard, of course.”
“Oh right! That’s me!” Kara grins, puffing out her chest and clicking her heels and keeping her eyeline firmly above Lena’s shoulders. “At your service, ma’am. Ready to guard your—um.” She halts. “Your… body,” she finishes, flinching.

“I’m going to make you mine tonight, Lena.” Kara continued. “I’m going to tell you just how beautiful you are, especially when you’re coming for me. I’m going to tell you all the things I’ve ever wanted to do with you. Would you like that?”
OR
Kara is the only Kryptonian who has ever said Lena’s name, and she is determined to show her all the things in her heart and all the things that name means when she says it. The fact that she’s going to edge her until Lena is out of her mind with lust is just a bonus.
This is not a stand-alone story. It’s the 2nd part of the Veracity series, so you definitely should read True Names first. It’s also my (late) entry for the “Crumble” prompt for Supercorptober 2025.

She gave Rumi a reassuring wink then handed her the new harness to look over. It was a deep purple leather, the buckles a light silver; pretty and functional. Rumi held it at arms length turning it this way and that, her bottom lip held between her teeth.
“It won’t bite you, Rumi-”
“No that’s our job-” quipped Zoey, leaning back on her elbows and crossing her legs.
Mira tapped her playfully on the nose. “Behave.”
Zoey giggled and grabbed hold of Mira's hand before nipping playfully at her palm, “And where’s the fun in that?”
