The time he and Themis had spent together had been something like a bubble- isolated from the rest of the world- but he supposed he should have known that bubble was going to pop sooner or later. Themis- ‘Elidibus,’ he thought- surely had many more important things to do than meander about Pandaemonium- a dark and miserable place stuffed with the bottom of the barrel as far as Concepts went- and while away his evenings with an unremarkable, untalented Warder such as Erichthonios.
---Themis is called back to Amaurot for Convocation business and, excited to show his new lover his beloved home city, invites Erichthonios to join him for a manner of a weekend getaway. But the trip causes Erich's anxiety and inferior feelings- heretofore kept mostly buried- to flare up, rocking the fledgling relationship.

Themis's voice was still quiet, but it had taken on a resolute, commanding edge that brooked no opposition or indecision.
"You, Themis, I want you."

Summary
Erich felt that flash of heat crawl up his neck, but no shame followed, only a tightness in his chest as Themis’s lips curled into a tiny, self-effacing smile. His anxiety around letting the other man in (literally or figuratively) bubbled in his abdomen, but it was overpowered as Themis looked back to him with that same little smile, crystalline blue meeting bright crimson. After a long, resolute inhale through his nose, Erich stepped aside and opened the door further, wordlessly offering Themis entry.

Summary
To most of his peers at Elysium Hills University, Thanatos is little more than the prodigal freshman who's already earned himself the position of first chair flute in the university's esteemed symphony orchestra. They don't know that he's spent the past four years recovering from a burnout, and that he's barely keeping it together.
