Summary
Kim Ryul has spent most of his life learning one lesson: being poor means losing.
You lose opportunities. You lose dignity. You lose people.
After years of bullying, humiliation, and watching his mother bend over backwards just to keep them afloat, Ryul has grown to resent everything wealth represents. Rich people can afford mistakes. Rich people can afford kindness. Rich people can afford love.
People like him cannot.
So when someone from a world completely different from his begins to take an interest in him, Ryul refuses to believe it's genuine. Because no matter how much he wants to be loved, he can't shake the feeling that he has nothing worth giving in return.
