Tech wakes up after being impaled on Tantiss. He experiences drug withdraws and tries to find a way back to Pabu while facing the horror of what he did while under Hemlock's control.
I wanted to explore what might happen if CX-2 really was Tech, how he might live, and what it might be like for him to get home and find his own happiness.

I need some kind of conclusion for my brain because of how back and forth things have felt in regards to whether Tech is really dead. I think I need to get this out of my system to grieve. Even if he's dead, he's not gone.

After settling on Pabu, Crosshair has trouble adjusting. When he finds a starving tooka kitten in need of care, things change and he quickly becomes attached. In the process he gets to know the island's veterinarian and catches feelings.

Sometimes Crosshair prefers to have sex in the dark. It's not because he doesn't want to see you. It's actually because his eyes are so sensitive and he doesn't want them to get overwhelmed after a morning outside in the bright Pabu sunlight. He wants to feel you with his other senses too.

You visit a neighboring planet with the Bad Batch. While collecting samples of local flora, you encounter a flower with strong aphrodisiac properties. You quickly confess your feelings for Tech and find them reciprocated, but neither of you wants to hurry up and have sex just because some flower shot drugs in your face. While his brothers keep you from climbing their bodies like trees, Tech works to study the plant and find an antidote.
