“Must be nice.” Wriothesley murmured, almost too low to hear, but not low enough apparently.
“What?” Neuvillette asked, and Wriothesley was answering before he could really think better of it.
“Knowing you’ve got someone out there who loves you.”
The silence was suddenly stifling.
He’d come to terms a long time ago with the fact he didn’t have a soulmate.
And yet, seeing those private little smiles only really meant for one person, the way they could speak without words…sometimes a little of the acid crept up.
Neuvillette, for his part, seemed somewhat stunned. “Your Grace…do you mean…?”
“Yeah, I don’t have a string.” he said quietly. “Probably better that way anyways.”

Then he opens his eyes, raises his arms, and- “well this is a shock, your highness. I didn’t know your dendro abilities included telekinesis. Cool.”The prince jerks at the sudden unexpected voice that’s coming from right behind him.
He turns to look at the surprise visitor with a straight, blank face, replying in a monotone “it doesn’t."
AKA Prince Haitham and Aspiring Architect Kaveh end up as roomies because of a mix up in their accommodations at the Akademiya. Kaveh is oblivious of course and Haitham feels an oddly familiar pull towards his roommate. Little do they know, their problems now are nothing compared to what’s in store for them…
