Summary
They shouldn't be doing this. They shouldn't be inches away from kissing at a party where all of their friends and coworkers are, no matter how hidden from view they might be right now. Tim shouldn't want to grab Lucy and pin her against the brick wall to have his way with her all night.

Summary
She’s staring at him like he’s everything, and he can’t breathe, he can’t move, he can’t even fucking think as she stares at him like that, her curls falling around her beautiful face, her lips parted, her eyes filled with more love than he’s ever deserved.
“Lucy,” he whispers, his dress shirt clutched tightly in his hand so he doesn’t reach for her.
He doesn’t know what his own expression is, but when Lucy catches his gaze her own breath stutters, her chest expanding as she takes a shuddering breath in.
“Tim.”
Her voice is quiet, soft and full of everything neither of them have been able to say since he walked away from her that fateful night.
They’ve talked some, and she’s wearing his necklace again.
But they haven’t talked about this.
He takes a step toward her, his eyes not leaving hers, and he’s about to reach for her when her lips part and she whispers,
“We shouldn’t.”

Summary
Lucy burst into laughter, and Tim couldn’t help but smile reluctantly at the sound of it. It was a beautiful sound, her laugh, the way it bounced around the shop and made him feel more calm and lighter. Made him feel like he had achieved something by making her laugh, like he deserved a trophy to memorialize his success.
But less so when she was laughing at him, which she was definitely doing right now.
