Summary
Will doesn’t sleep. Well, he does, but not peacefully. Thoughts and memories plague him night after night. It doesn’t help that he has to sleep in a cold basement, alone, in the dead of winter. December is colder than usual due to the Upside Down leaking into the ‘real’ world. And, Will really hates being cold.

Will has a nightmare and can't get warm so Mike comforts him and gives him a bath. Platonically of course.
This is the first fanfic I have ever written. I was hit with this idea and ran with it. Thanks for reading!

Summary
Mike opens his mouth, then closes it. Too many questions crowded in the back of his throat. What happened to you this week? What are you hiding? Why didn’t you call me? None of them make it out.
Lucas, steadier, breaks the silence.
“Whose car was that?”
It takes Will a moment to answer. He blinks at the wall behind Lucas like he’s trying to rewind something in his head.
“I borrowed it,” he says finally.
Lucas tilts his head. “Really? From who?”
When Will Byers arrives at the WSQK radio station in a vandalized car none of them recognize, the walls he’s built start to crack. What slips out is a secret he’s been hiding in plain sight.

Summary
The anniversary effect is very real; they’ve all felt it. Especially Will, as another shiver racks through him, stronger than the last. This time, Will takes a step closer to Mike and presses their shoulders together. Whether it’s for body heat or comfort, Mike doesn’t know, but he isn’t going to complain.
If he can’t protect Will from the horrible memories and sleepless nights, he can at least protect him from the autumn breeze. He quickly tugs off his leather jacket and holds it out for Will to take, who looks down at it in surprise.
“What?” he asks, glancing between it and Mike, like he doesn’t know what to do with it.
“You’re cold,” Mike states, no room for question. He knows that Will would lie about it if he could.

Hopefully they weren’t. Hopefully he could slip in quietly, make his way to the bathroom for a hot shower, and then crawl back onto the makeshift air mattress on Mike Wheeler’s floor, letting sleep take him somewhere else for a change.
Unfortunately for Will, things never went quite the way he planned. He was so close—he’d managed to open and shut the front door without a sound, the only light in the house coming from the stairwell. He took it as his cue, stepping carefully up the stairs, around the corner, and—
“Where have you been?”
