Summary
Oikawa was in his space so suddenly he jumped a little bit, earning a few stray chuckles. A glaring reminder that they weren’t alone here. He was pressed against him, hand reaching down to guide the arrow and Kageyama’s own up to string the bow gently. It was calculated, perfect. If they messed this up now it would make tensions and pressure rise even more. Kageyama was about to take the most important shot of his life and Oikawa was guiding him through it.
He would have laughed at how strange it was if he could breathe properly.
“You’re shaking,” Oikawa noted lowly, slowly guiding them to aim.
Kageyama plastered a polite smile on his face to try to keep up appearances. “You would be shaking too if you didn’t know this was coming. They’re all counting on this one single shot.”

Oikawa startled and froze, tilting his head to blink and pray that he was experiencing a vivid hallucination and he wasn’t actually looking up at Tobio Kageyama in the middle of Tom Jobin International Airport of Rio de Janeiro, the last possible place that he should ever have to run into him.
“You’re not real. Please tell me you’re not real.” His voice was almost embarrassingly strained but hopefully it was just a hallucination and if it wasn’t, Tobio was probably still just as dense as he used to be and wouldn’t notice.
Tobio, infuriatingly, shrugged. “Sorry to disappoint.”
Lowering his voice to make sure he didn’t end up yelling, Tooru hissed, “What the fuck are you doing here?”
“Probably the same thing you are, waiting to board.” He replied, far too calmly and casually to actually soothe Oikawa in any way.
“Board what? This plane? My plane? No, you’re not.” High pitched laughter spilled from his lips, “Why are you even here, in South America? When, reasonably, you should be in Japan, where you live.”
