Summary
“Wei Wuxian?” A soft, deep voice pulled Wei Wuxian out of his fantasy and he opened his eyes. Sure, he wasn’t on the beach, or drinking the Emperor’s Smile, but even in an unflattering white coat and scrubs the man that stood before him was, wow. Wei Wuxian had only a moment to enjoy the ridiculously handsome man in front of him until his jaw literally dropped reminding him of his horrible tooth pain.
“Ouch,” Wei Wuxian hissed, cupping his cheek on the side of his toothache. “You’re not Dr. Lan.”
“Uncle retired.” The man said, handing Wei Wuxian a pair of sunglasses, pushed back his chair, then put on a pair of gloves. “Open.”
Or Wei Wuxian is a pediatrician who hates going to the dentist until he meets Lan Wangji.

With him is a child—a boy—who's holding onto his hand and looking up at him with his eyebrows furrowed, one finger stuck in his mouth.

Lan Zhan went still, and Wei Wuxian’s stomach dropped. That…had not been how he was planning to confess his feelings. Actually, his plan on that front had always been “Do not ever confess your feelings, you raging dumpster fire of a human.” He wasn’t vain or stupid enough to think that anything good could ever come of it. He would only ruin one of the best things he had in his life. But then, what else was new? He ruined everything.
