Dunk looked away at Aerion, “I'm not sure I follow, my prince,” he admitted as he stared at Aerion's dagger.
“It means I am keeping you alive just enough to witness your downfall. I am curious to see as to how you will land,” Aerion explained, twisting a finger to the dagger's hilt. His eyes narrowed as he watched Dunk shifted his weight from one foot to another, likely feeling the injury Aerion marked there permanently.
“I will not let you down, my prince. I plan to keep my head in its place for as long as time will allow me,” Dunk responded with little to no hesitation.
“And if I'm the one trying to take it away then?”
“Then you shall have it.”

Summary
Raymun Fossoway has a loud mouth and Dunk has always prided himself on being a good listener. Most of the time, the gossip and the extensive rants are more emotional expression than useful conversation, but Dunk lends his ear regardless. After all, he could benefit from some social lessons separate from Egg’s, especially when those lessons include his squire’s older brother.
The Targaryens have long been the bridge between the gods and man, tamers and riders and kin of dragons. Now, the dragons are gone, but their blood remains in the Targaryen line—some, only a few drops. In Aerion Targaryen, a beast lurks and cannot resist the word of its master.

Dunk hears a rumor that some of the Targaryens respond to High Valyrian commands much like the dragons did. He tests the theory on Aerion.

Does it…bother Varka? Now that’s one hell of a question. If by ‘bothered’ Flins means that Varka is upset by the reminder of Flins’ ethereal otherness, his long-lived history, and all the difficulties their incompatible lifespans will surely bring upon them further down the line, then no, not in the slightest. It’s but a small price to pay for loving Flins, and Varka certainly wouldn’t want him to change anything about himself—not for Varka’s sake, nor anyone else’s.
But if by ‘bothered’ Flins is referring to Varka’s sudden newfound, all-consuming compulsion to hear him speak fae again—a rallying war cry in the midst of battle; whispers of sweet nothings in their quiet moments together; breathless gasps and moans, punctuated by screams of Varka’s name as Flins writhes in pleasure—then yes, Varka supposes it does bother him quite a bit.
Or, Varka wants Flins to speak fae to him in bed.
