Mu Qing rolls his eyes, a familiar flicker of disdain. "I started it last week. Does that matter to you?"
"No." Feng Xin lies, and drops to his knees. Hands holding tight enough to bruise, he traces the salt of the sweat on Mu Qing’s skin with his tongue, biting a ladder of marks up the inside of his thighs.
Feng Xin's twenties feel like they’re dissolving into a blur of textbooks, legal jargon, and a never-ending battle against a puppy determined to teethe through every piece of furniture he owns. He barely has time to sleep, let alone date, spending his salvaged free hours playing gigs like this for extra cash, saving up in case his parents decide to cut him off again.
His relationship with Mu Qing, if he can call it that, is just a series of long arguments occasionally interrupted by random hookups. He has no right to feel so possessive, but no one else gets under his skin the way Mu Qing does.
