Summary
It was a relief to find that, in their absence, Niffty had obviously taken it upon herself to tidy Alastor's rooms. A faint smell of spiced beef lingered about the place, but for the most part things had been freshened up. And there was a gaudy, red and gold couch by his fireplace, his armchairs having been pushed closer to his far wall and his bookcases. His coffee table sat in front of it, a flat-screen television mounted above the mantle.
Alastor cocked his head up at it, then turned to fix Vox with an innocent, wide-eyed grin. He strode over to the newly installed TV, tapping it with the end of his microphone.
“Goodness – I do hope this wasn't your next upgrade! Frankly I think it would be a little big for you, though perhaps the reason you've kept expanding the width of your head is to fit your ever growing ego?” Alastor asked lightly, canned laughter playing in the air to lessen the sting of his words.
Vox snorted, his mouth small as he gave Alastor an unimpressed look.
“Nah. That's my cousin.”

Summary
Vox was pointing to Alastor, then putting his palm flat on his chest. His expression, as much as Angel could see of it, looked pathetic, beaten down, a sad little doggy that someone tried to drown in the river. Oh fuck, oh fuck, Angel thought, is he in love with him? It’d explain a lot. Was an honest-to-Lucifer soap opera playing out in their own backyard? Could Angel possibly be so lucky?
Angel sees something he shouldn’t and decides to take his fun where he can get it, which means inserting himself into a resistant Alastor’s life as his new gay BFF and confidante. Meanwhile, Alastor tries to make sense of the changes he’s gone through over the decades, and Vox struggles with the prospect of losing his fragile empire.

Vox pulled his pocket handkerchief out and winced as he spat into it. Vox froze, screen paling as he spotted what had been causing the problem.
A single, bright yellow, pointed petal lay in the very centre of his obnoxiously red and black striped handkerchief.-‐---------
Vox starts coughing up flowers after seeing Alastor in person for the first time since the radio demon vanished. He knows his options are limited because there is no chance in Hell that Alastor will return his feelings. The only thing left to do while he figures things out is hide it from the other Vees... and the rest of Hell.
