    Summary

I've known my heat would be coming ever since I'd gone for my yearly physical and my physician had refused to refill my suppressants. He'd thrown words around like "overdue" and "heatsick." Nobody seems to care that I've been on suppressants for years and that I've always ridden out my heats on my own.

In order to convince his insurance company to refill his suppressant prescription, Grace has to prove that he's at least trying to handle his heats without them. He hires an alpha from a rent-a-mate service, fully intending to send them away after they arrive. (See look, he tired!) Only, when the alpha arrives, Grace lets him inside, and then lets him do far more.

    Or

Grace is an omega in heat, and Rocky's the alpha there to take care of him. They fuck about it.

Jinx's head whirled back in Ekko's direction and she glared at him. "Oh, so I'm not sexy?"

After contemplating ditching them all and driving home by himself, he decided against it and deadpanned, "I literally didn't say anything."

"Your silence speaks volumes," she scoffed.

Jinx is his best friend and roommate, and he's been in love with her for as long as he can remember. That aside, she's also determined to put Ekko in an early grave.

“So you know how you trust me?” she asks innocently, throwing an innocent braid over her innocent shoulder.
“Unfortunately, yes.” Ekko narrows his eyes. “What are you thinking?”
Jinx scoots closer to him and says matter-of-factly, “I need you to give me a hickey.”

Jinx has a business proposition for Ekko. What are best friends for, right?
