Summary
The dreams are a trauma response, any Yamanaka you ask would tell you. They'd give a complex explanation, remarking how witnessing his father's suicide and being sent to the frontlines of a vicious war so closely would leave its mark on Kakashi's young psyche. They'd say that his brain twists the memories of his dreams of standard situations to give the illusion of control, of premonition. Was he really feeling so bold as to do his stream in the living room? It made Obito’s blood rush south at how risky a thing that is when there’s every possibility for him to arrive home early and take Kakashi by surprise. Event cut short, forgot something at home- He could walk through the doors and find him in such an exposed state at any moment.
As shitty a move as it was, he couldn’t help but go back to his friends making an excuse about not feeling well. Hell if he wasn’t going to be stupid and take one massive fucking leap, but god how he wanted to see Kakashi’s face flush red with the shame of being caught, to see his entirely bare body that the camera never got to catch.
Obito was quick with his keys, sure the second he turned the lock it would alert the other, pulling the door open immediately to find a head of silver whip around to look at him over the back of the couch.
