Summary
Raised in the infamous Kim family, Taehyung had only ever known a life of darkness and violence, until the day Jungkook was sent to his family as a political captive, a hostage from the up-and-coming Bangtan group, to keep them in line. Jungkook had been sweet, innocent, and abandoned. In him, Taehyung found an ally, a friend, and eventually, something more. But everything changed in one moment of betrayal, when Taehyung was forced to realize he'd never truly known Jungkook at all.
Now he's the captive, held in the penthouse of one of Bangtan's properties, unable to leave while Jungkook makes sure there are eyes on him at all times. Wounded by the betrayal, and heartbroken knowing their relationship had been a lie, Taehyung refuses to allow Jungkook back into his life.
He rejects his advances, rebuffs his taunting, and resigns himself to a life spent even more trapped than he had been before. But Jungkook is determined for Taehyung to know the real him - and to prove that what they had was real all along.
