Mark takes the notebook. He likes lines on his journals, they carry the words and all the memories clasped onto them for Mark to keep. "Thank you. Wow," he says. "Wait. Hold on. I don't have something for you."
"Nah, you don't have to." Donghyuck shakes his head. "But if you don't want me to take it too personally, then I guess you can dedicate a page for me and write something like, Donghyuck bought this for me. I don't know."
Mark laughs. He knows Donghyuck is joking. But Mark writes Donghyuck anyway.

"Stop being interested in me," Donghyuck mumbles against Mark's upper chest.
(For every kiss on each mole, they have to share one thing about each other + Mark insisting he has a mole on the lip.)

The night before Mark is set to go back to his hometown to meet his childhood friends in person after over two years, he dreamt of Kang Seulgi, his middle school crush (like everybody else back then), and Lee Donghyuck ("Your other crush?" Renjun jokes. Mark stammers a contradiction).

With gloved hands, Donghyuck has been squeezing green soap from a squirt bottle onto a paper towel. He is slouching on a rolling stool, causing the arm hole on his black muscle tee to slit even wider.
Mark looks away. He shifts on the tattoo chair.

Donghyuck flashes back to his first meeting with an actual, real angel, when he walks past a chicken restaurant at the corner of the street, and whiffs the thick and tangy smell of chicken wings. He lays a fist over his lips to hold back a laugh.
(Like every other Fridays, before midnight, Donghyuck goes to his apartment's rooftop to meet an angel called Mark.)

“People think Lee Donghyuck’s mad that Mark Lee is getting all the girls,” Chenle said.
“But who even thought that it’s a good idea to interrupt our summer break for vacation classes?”
(Chenle told Jisung about the supposed hatred Mark and Donghyuck have for each other. Jisung doesn't care. He just wants to witness the rarely seen fire rainbows. But then he witnesses a different kind of "rarely seen.")
