Also, characters from RE4 are sort of a mashing together of original and remake versions. Salazar I picture as mostly the original with the occasional small detail from the remake. (Mostly those lovely nails!)

Franco gave them a satisfied smile. He even set Lupara aside. Not out of view, but out of his hand. "That's what baby likes to hear. We can talk specifics later. I'm hungry now. So you just sit there and get comfortable. You ain't leavin' til this box is empty."
They swallowed, their throat suddenly dry. Their eyes searched his face for any sort of obvious sign of a joke, sarcasm, something. Just a smug, almost giddy grin as his eyes flicked between the donuts and his new favorite sugar dealer. They felt him rocking on them, nearly imperceptibly, eager to get started.
They bit their bottom lip and met his gaze. They took a deep breath and nodded. "Okay. I can do that. Comfortable..."
Franco smelled their nervousness like a bayou gator scenting blood. He licked up a bit of drool escaping his lips and snickered. "Oh, don't you lose your nerve now, sweetness. We've got a lot to chew through over here."

You're a first time reagent shoved into an unforgiving trial, dealing with the punishment of a team you're stuck with while completely oblivious to the horrors ahead. You know just about nothing besides some sadistic doctor is running the show and it seems like your team's not the only vermin shoved in this pit of hell.
Notes: This is an in depth fic focusing on multiple elements - Franco's trauma and the aftermath of it, psychoanalysis of characters beyond canon while still working with said canon, a broad genre of horror elements, and overall is an olive branch to the people in the community looking for something with a bit more sustenance. I will update when I can: followers of my tumblr will be notified (found in my bio) when new chapters are out. When I write it's an outlet for me, and hopefully will be one for you too, reader.
