Shuri broke out in the beginning of a laugh, but the rest of it was swallowed up by Namor’s kiss. Dropping her wrist, he cupped her face with both hands, his touch achingly tender.

"What's wrong with doing so in this one?" He had asked.
Shuri had looked at him, a sudden clarity and deep weariness in her dark eyes before turning to lay on her back, a hand draped across her abdomen and her gaze fixed on the ceiling.
"Leave," she said softly and so he had left, slipping quietly out of her bed and back into the waves from which he came.
