What begins as their usual sharp-tongued sparring quickly shifts into something far more dangerous when Umbridge’s approaching footsteps force Draco to drag Hermione into the shadows and shield her from discovery. In the suffocating closeness of a dark alcove, insults turn into loaded silences, veiled threats blur into reluctant protection, and lines neither of them meant to cross begin to disappear.
