    Summary

The cut on his leg from the fin of his surfboard had made him a bit dizzy but he remembered the sting of hurt flesh, the burn of ocean water, and the pain with every step. The blood trails that followed, he was working on taking care of the wound himself.

    When she appeared.

    “You shouldn’t be sleeping.”

    “Then keep me awake.”

Everything turned into a blur with her soft touches that roamed over his injury, then her hands moved over shoulders, and pulled at his swim trunks. Her mouth moved on his lips.

They shouldn’t—but he was only a man.
