It keeps happening.
Katsuki will go about his daily life as usual and out of nowhere his breath catches in his chest or his heart stumbles and on one very memorable occasion—movie night with the squad, with Hitoshi inexplicably cuddled up to him—his stomach made somersault after somersault, making Katsuki squeezy enough to not even eat his own food.
It happens during lessons, it happens during training, it happens during sparring, while he cooks, in the common room, when he's out with the squad.
It happens often enough that Katsuki very much fears for his own health but he's not quite desperate enough to go see his cardiologist.
He figures Recovery Girl will have to do for now—surely she'll be able to determine if it's something more serious or something stupid like—an allergy.
Because it could be.

“So, when am I going to meet your boyfriend?” Aria asks, staring up at her uncle with those expectant hazel eyes. When Flambae looked at her, he just saw his sister’s attitude staring back, a carbon copy he always called her.
“Wha- I don’t have a boyfriend, Aria.” Flambae defends, crossing his arms over his chest.
“No? But mom said you were having a lover’s spat again. Let me tell you, Uncle Chad, if you need me to kick his ass, I will.” She replies, eyes staring right through to his soul. God she was determined.

“Well I’ll be damned… this feels too good to be true.”
And it does; Robert isn’t used to surprise gifts– he hasn’t done anything to warrant this. He hates that his immediate response was to throw up his hackles, and try to find any signs of tampering– but it’s not unreasonable for someone like him. He’s Mecha Man; he’s on a lot of people’s shitlist. There’s a lot of people who would mean to do him harm, or at the very least, play a cruel prank on him. He can’t let his guard down, just because he’s a dispatcher now. Being Robert Robertson doesn’t erase the legacy that hangs over his shoulders– the shadow that it casts.
