Summary
The last person Emily expects to be standing on her parent’s porch at 2 in the morning is Kelley O’hara. Yet here she is, wearing her Stanford sweatshirt, hair up in a messy bun, and puffy eyed. Emily doesn’t question her instead, she pulls Kelley into a tight hug. Kelley’s trying to control her tears but more than a few of them make their way onto Emily’s shoulder.

Summary
Kelley O'Hara is the Captain of the Starr's Mills High School Girls' soccer team, and as such it's her job to know everything about her teammates to know how to motivate them best. Lately, she has noticed that one of the team's defenders, Emily Sonnett hasn't been performing up to her usual level of play, nor, has she been acting like her usual outgoing and entertaining self that they all come to known and love. Kelley decides to find out what is going on with her friend and teammate and ends up with more than she could have ever imagined.
