"Reggie," James flashed his best grin, delighted by the warmth in Regulus’ eyes.

Summary
Less than a week into the new school year, a loud knock disrupts the quiet of the fourth-year Slytherin boys' dormitory. The last person Regulus expects to find on the other side of the door is his (somewhat) estranged older brother, Sirius, his handsome face bloodied and bruised.
Even more shocking than Sirius's sudden appearance, is his request - if they'd be so kind, could he bunk with them in Slytherin 'for a bit'?
His brother's refusal to explain his abscondence from Gryffindor is irksome, but Regulus lets him in regardless, confident he'll unravel the mystery in due time. After all, Sirius has never been very good at keeping secrets from his younger sibling, and Regulus can be *very* persuasive when he wants to know something.
Unbeknownst to the Black brothers, however, their choices in that moment set off a chaotic chain of events that will have lasting repercussions for The Noble and Most Ancient House of Black, and change the trajectory of their lives for good.

Summary
Hua Cheng was not known as a ghost to easily take sympathy on mortals (or gods, truly). Xie Lian was known for his ability to take in the odd orphan but not to keep them alive and well. Wei Ying was not known by anyone but the dogs and the thugs on the streets.
Somehow, together, they can make something of a home. Something like a family.
And maybe along the way they can fix a few things.
