Summary
Clancy hated lies, any form of deceit or unfaithfulness made him feel betrayed and disrespected, it's why he chose to personally see Dema fall completely to its knees for making him lie to thousands. Yet even after being lied to for so long, he just couldn’t bear to feel angry at the Torchbearer. It made him feel ashamed of himself, angry at himself even, for not being able to mull it all over and simply move past such a trivial thing in the long run. Only the Torchbearer is capable of making him lie over something that hurt him this much.
