   Summary

   Twenty years ago, Ivia's mother helped the queen of Calcheth escape a horrific revolt. Ivia and her brother Kalel grew up with Prince Esric, learning how to keep him safe from any threats. They lived happily on a small tropical island, until one fateful day when Calcheth's king is assassinated. Suddenly, people from all walks of life begin to search for the lost prince. A cunning assassin, cryptic rebel leaders, and even Calcheth's current princes all want something from him. Who can they trust? Who will stay loyal? As they embark on a treacherous journey with dangerous allies, Ivia must do everything in her power to keep the prince safe or risk losing him for good.
