Summary
Wei Wuxian is perfectly content to be a beta in the modern-day Jiang sect, his status making no complications for his position as Head Disciple. His life’s course seems set until he crosses paths with Lan Wangji, Second Jade of the Lan and the rarest of occurrences, a late-blooming presentation, derails Wei Wuxian from the safety of his simple expectations.
Unable to remain with the sect that raised him, Wei Wuxian is plunged into an uncertain situation where he has to forge a new future with the one person he never thought he’d be courted by: the remote, rule-bound Lan Wangji who will barely spare him a glance. Wei Wuxian has never known a life where his own wishes are a factor but maybe, just maybe, he can find what he wants with the only alpha he wants.
If he can get that stubborn Lan Wangji to give him the time of day, that is.
