Summary
Taylor's first night out goes horrifically wrong. After an accident, she winds up with fourteen voices in her head, marking her as Butcher XV. This certainly complicates her planned heroic career, but sometimes you have to take refuge in audacity.
This is a slight AU where the Teeth returned to the Bay in summer of 2010, causing mayhem and havoc as they set up shop. Taylor's life didn't change too much from these events, even if the junior Teeth were slightly more agreeable at school than the Merchants had been. Then again, they still didn't lift a finger to help her when she was shoved into the locker. Her first night out happens a bit earlier than canon, causing a few interesting butterflies.

Summary
What if the Shard Queen Administrator had grander intentions than letting Contessa kill her host? Hoping to take control over the Shard Network and the Endbringers, bringing them into better symbiosis with humanity using Khepri as a prototype of what is possible, Queen Administrator employs the help of many Shards to go back in time. Unfortunately for Taylor, there is only so much Queen Administrator can do to provide help even with her future knowledge. The directives and Zion's crippling restrict what she can do, and so, after much calculation, Queen Administrator comes to the conclusion that the only way to save Taylor is to make her suffer more. Then and only then can she give Taylor the power she needs.
The adage is true: being Taylor is suffering.
Unfortunately, messing with time tends to attract some things that otherwise would have stayed hidden on this blue ball we call Earth. In other words, the AU elements are that there will be: actual Fae here, an eldritch entity known as the Hungry City (or Honey Sid for short), and greedy, research-mad aliens curious about the Entities and too nosy for their own good.
