"Graystripe!"
The clearing grew silent, the gray-furred cat in front of the bracken slowly padded toward the Gathering. Hollypaw stared in amazement at the cat she had only heard about through Ferncloud's seemingly impossible nursery stories.
Hollypaw leaned over toward her brother and whispered in his ear,
"But... he's dead?"Lionpaw bristled as whispers erupted from the crowd of cats. Hollypaw watched her grandfather bound toward the gray, ragged-furred cat.
"Graystripe! Thank Starclan you've returned! I-.. We thought you were dead." Firestar meowed, as excited as a kit.
Graystripe bared his teeth.
basically the scene where graystripe came back from the twolegs, but better bc I said so(and I hate how it originally went)
