Summary
Realizing he was in love with Yeonjun felt a bit like hitting the water off the cliff's edge. First, freedom, the realization that this was what he had been missing all along. He now had a reason for his endless admiration of Yeonjun, his desire to be so close to him, to breathe in his presence like oxygen, to bathe in his glow, to be the moon to his sun. The jump off the cliff, the split second of immortality, the embrace of the skyline. Momentary flight.
Then, the knowledge that it would only ever be one-sided. There was simply no chance, in all his unending glory, that Yeonjun would ever send anything more than the tender affection one feels towards a beloved younger friend, a younger sibling, in Beomgyu's direction. The crash into the waves. All the air driven from his lungs in a rush, the sharp pain fading into a dull ache as it skittered across his ribs. Inevitable fall.

“Dude.” Beomgyu’s eyes close and he throws his head back in something a bit too close to frustration. “How?”
or Yeonjun can't seem to keep a girlfriend to save his life and Beomgyu isn't the biggest fan of the theory Taehyun comes up with to explain their friend's tragic lovelife.

His words make Yeonjun flush, too, the heat of it creeping down his neck and to the tips of his ears. “You’re my alpha and I’ve never not been grateful for it. You’ve never failed me. “What about us hooking up?” Beomgyu asks, not because he has a specific position toward that. He just wants to know where do they stand.
“We can have that too, if you want,” Yeonjun smiles at him. He keeps stroking Beomgyu’s shin; Beomgyu feels the hair of his leg rise up due to the friction.
All things considered, it should be okay. That’s how it always works for them apparently: Beomgyu has a problem, Yeonjun has the solution for it. Beomgyu is worried, Yeonjun eases his concerns. Beomgyu fears something could go wrong, Yeonjun tells him everything will be fine.
Beomgyu has to go through a breakup, kiss Yeonjun and some strangers, and go on a date in order to see what’s been in front of him all this time.
