Louis rubbed his head closing his eyes again for a moment. God damn this patient coming in and lying to his face. God damn him for being so hurt and scared and for crying. God damn him for being so beautiful and so broken.
He scratched his head before looking back up, scanning Harry’s face very carefully. He merely stared back at him, sniffling slightly before holding his hands up in a pleading gesture, his fingers crossed in a praying stance.
“Please, Dr. Tomlinson…” His voice cracked and Louis couldn’t help but sigh in distress. He shook his head, gritting his teeth as he struggled to remember his duties as a doctor. Harry whimpered softly and Louis knew more tears were falling without even having to look. He bit his lip, closing and opening his eyes one more time, staring Harry down.
“You and I both know that you didn’t get this hurt from falling down some stairs.”
or, Louis is a doctor. Harry is his patient.

Louis remembers clearly the night everything fell apart.
There are moments in life you just can't forget. For him, there are some that just will never leave his mind: singing Torn, his first Award Ceremony, What Makes You Beautiful on the radio for the first time, bus 1 with Zayn, recording Fireproof with Liam and the sound of Harry's voice when he told Louis that he loved him, but they were done.

1. Do get to know your assistant as a person. You’ll be spending a lot of time together; you don’t want to spend endless car journeys discussing the weather.
2. Don’t mistake your assistant for your friend. They are your employee. Boundaries are important.
3. Do treat your assistant with respect.
4. Don’t treat your assistant like your servant. If you’re tired, they can get you a coffee. If your feet hurt, they can call you a masseuse—not massage your feet.
5. Do remember your assistant has a life outside of you. They want evenings and days off for their friends and family just like everyone else.
And possibly the most important rule of all:
6. Don’t fall in love with your assistant.It's possible that Zayn should have paid more attention to the last one.
