Glancing over at Yelena, she is still reading whatever was sent to her. “What is it?”
Those green eyes flicker over towards Kate then, just as Yelena turns her phone away so Kate can't read it. “What does yours say?”
Kate shrugs, “you know, details about a thing…might be the same as your thing.”
“Maybe.” Yelena maintains eye contact and Kate finds herself getting lost again. Wanting to push and tease, to wipe that growing smirk off of Yelena’s mouth with her own. “Ava can be very detail oriented when she wants to be.”
“Yeah, yeah same…Kamala, details as big as the fists she can make, you know?”
Yelena shakes her head. “I don’t know that, actually. She doesn’t speak to me much.”
“Yeah you kind of intimidate her.”
“Good.”

Both Kate and Clint whip their heads toward the gallery where Yelena is leaning against the banister, wearing nothing but one of Kate’s archery sweaters from college and a teasing smile. Lucky is sitting at her heels, looking up at her with his one good eye as if he’s just as in love as Kate is. Head over heels. A complete goner. Kate is not blaming him. Clint on the other hand is dissolving into a coughing fit and pushes his mug away.
