    Bucky Barnes was a SHIELD agent who had to be put on leave after an unfortunate incident during a mission left him temporarily Gift-less.

    Steve Rogers was a cold, bitter man who had a history and a strong penchant for hating SHIELD agents.

    Both were just minding their own business when they suddenly bumped into each other on the street. Needless to say, things did not go well.

    Despite the fact that Steve Rogers’ life hasn't always been a bed of roses, he’s fortunate enough to have a lot of good things to call his own. He has a loving mother, two wonderful kids, marvelous friends, and a beautiful house with a big, sprawling yard, to name but a few. One thing Steve does not have, however, is green fingers. One late spring morning, Steve decides to call in the help of a local gardening company to restore his yard to its former glory. When gorgeous gardener Bucky Barnes shows up on his doorstep the next day, he unwittingly upturns not only Steve’s yard, but his life, too.     Bucky Barnes is the best Kindergarten teacher Shelbyville, Indiana, has ever had, so when Captain Steve Rogers of the Shelbyville Fire Department has the chance to teach fire safety to Mr. Barnes’ class, he jumps at the chance. Steve’s not prepared for the sight of a bespectacled man in a button down with pale blue eyes and long dark hair who finger paints with his students, plays the guitar, and teaches with puppets. Steve’s smitten, but it’s not until he sees the straightlaced Mr. Barnes on stage at the local gay bar playing an acoustic set in a sheer shirt and black jeans so tight they leave no room for the imagination that Steve realizes he’s in way over his head. Then he sees the nipple piercing and realizes his world will never be the same.
