Summary
Yaoyorozu, a merchant's daughter whose inventions are her pastime, steps foot into Todoroki's world built from crime. When Todoroki is suddenly thrusted into leading the organization that his father created, he offers Yaoyorozu a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to make use of her inventions to unearth what happened to his father. She takes advantage to challenge herself and finds herself actually enjoying the work and Todoroki's company. But she's leaving after the work is done, right?
Todoroki, a crime lord's youngest son, convinces Yaoyorozu to join him after knowing she's a key witness to what happened to his father the night everything fell on his shoulders. He went from a student to the Tatooine Crime Lord himself within a few hours. Gathering whoever could help him make sense of his new life, he makes a courageous effort to turn what he inherited into a charity project. He doesn't need Yaoyorozu forever, of course. Just after he could stand on stable feet. Maybe.
Steampunk mixed with crime and romance. Set in a world way before our time.

The taller boy standing next to Yaoyorozu had a red hairband on and appeared to have just ran a marathon, skin glinting from the sweat. He had a gentle smile beaming across his face, eyes giving the girl the ‘up-down’ every once in a while. Obviously trying to look ‘cool’ by leaving his elbow on the windowsill, he let his back leg cross behind the other, hand clutching onto a water bottle. Kaminari dug deep into the caverns of his memory.
Oh yes, now he recalled, it’s Awase. The boy who saved Yaoyorozu from certain death.
Todoroki’s hawking gaze stayed steady on the two, eyelashes unbatting as Yaoyorozu shifted weight from leg to leg.
Kaminari had an ‘oh shit’ moment for a second, practically hearing his own gears turning in his head and smirked slyly. So his tutor was attracted to her, eh?
“Todoroki I swear, if you don’t help me, Imma have to call Yaoyorozu.”
The mention of her name baited him to respond. The fire and ice hero quickly tried to act as if he was never distracted in the first place, fingers pointing at random on the page.
Well, that got his attention.
