Summary
It seemed like anytime he hung out with Blaze, things seemed to go well. All the way back when they had first met on Sweet Mountain their awkward meeting had turned into a fond one after they smoothed things over with each other. During Sonic’s birthday when memories of a terrible past came back to haunt him, the feline was there to make him laugh when he really needed it. Back at their last meeting after Dodon Pa’s race, Blaze was more than happy to sit with him while he sobbed about the revelation that his original home had been lost to time.
He wouldn’t change anything because then Blaze wouldn’t be there to share special moments with him, Silver just wasn’t sure why he felt that way.

Bittersweet was the only word Blaze could think of to describe this moment.
As Super Sonic held out an encouraging hand towards her, the feline felt a number of emotions bubble up inside of her. Fear was the most dominant of all those feelings. Part of it was because her time with them was about to end and another part was that she was unsure of what would happen next. Sure, Blaze would go home, resume her duties as a princess and guardian of the Sol Emeralds, and then rule once she became of age, but was that the life she wanted?

Summary
At first, when the warm embrace of sleep begins to fade away, all is fine. Diluc takes a moment to wake up before moving or thinking and just lays there in his bed. His mind wanders to what he’ll do today since he’s running behind on his schedule, though those thoughts slowly crawl to a stop when he notices something peculiar. He opens his eyes to a dark room and realises that he’s woken up early, though that’s not the thing that strikes him as odd.
Turning onto his side, Diluc cranes his head so he can get a better angle with his ear turned towards the window. It’s quiet, almost silent if not for the sounds of his own breathing. Pulling himself up slowly, Diluc quietly makes his way towards the window and unlatches it with a soft pop. He takes a moment to listen, his eyes close so he can focus on the world outside.
He sucks a sharp breath in and holds it.
…
There’s nothing. Diluc can’t hear anything at all.

The orb the man held in his hands was beautiful, Diluc had never seen anything like it before. The colour of it was a mixture of blues and greens, swirling together to reflect the colour of the sky above. It reminded him of what it would be like to be a bird, flying so high that nothing else mattered. He felt a little envious, the boy wanted to fly just like the birds too. Diluc had the courage those children's tales would speak of, he could jump off Cape Oath without a problem if it meant he was going to fly like the birds.
Diluc Ragnvindr always loved the sky.
