Summary
Well into his twenties, Sakusa Kiyoomi is a supportive uncle, a successful professional athlete, and a relatively well-adjusted individual, despite claims (from his cousin and his sister and his brother and his partner—who has, frankly, no room to talk—and his aforementioned presumed niece, a literal child) alluding otherwise.
It took some elbow grease and a hefty amount of introspective dish soap to get there.
.
Or, A trip to the airport to help out a teammate, two decades in the making.

Summary
He wonders what Rintarou would say if Osamu told him he can see the strings.
“Did ya ever wonder if soulmates are real?” Osamu manages to choke out.
Rintarou squints and then pouts. “Not really. I’m not really interested in the stars or the universe or anything like that. Existing is already too big of a hassle; I don’t need to worry about every single person in the world and what they think of me because what if that one is my soulmate-kind-of-thing, you know?”
Osamu nods.
“Ah!” he suddenly exclaims, a smug smirk on his face. “But I wouldn’t mind if you were my soulmate. You already know me way too well, I wouldn’t be surprised if the universe just decided to put us both in a little soulmate box thingy.”
I would, he wants to say.
But he doesn’t.
or, once upon a time, there was a boy called miya osamu who hated the color red.

Summary
“Are ya waiting for yer soulmate, then? They must be very lucky to have someone as faithful as you…”
“I don’t believe this soulmate bullshit,” he snarls, hiding his hands under the table. I can still see your reactions, ya dummy.
“Why?”
He sees the way the words get stuck on his throat when his pinkie twitches again. He sees the way he frowns and looks down at his hands in confusion. Atsumu is still staring at him, not a hint of a smile or amusement on his face because, well, he should’ve been able to realize it by now, even if the string remained invisible in his eyes.
“There’s no proof,” he says simply. “There’s a red, invisible string connecting people? Says who? If no one can see it, doesn’t that mean it doesn’t exist? I’ve never met anyone who could, how can I believe it?”
You did meet someone who can. I’m right here.
or sakusa thought he had a tic and atsumu liked to see his confused expression when it started to happen exclusively when he was around.
