    "is everything..?" yuna starts.

"yes," ilya answers as he takes a seat back on the floor, his feet—wiped off on the outside mat as to not give yuna (or shane) a heart attack—starting to warm up already. "i'm sorry."

and this time, when he apologizes, it doesn't feel forced. it doesn't feel like he has to; it feels like he wants to. and he does. he fought this time, because he realized as he pulled the box flaps open and stared at his mother's journal, sitting gently atop her jewelry box, that he didn't need to fly. he was safe here.

    Summary

"i can do it myself, johnny.." ghost muttered, though he didn't make any moves to stop him.

"i ken ye can. now let me do it," was soap's reply, and how could ghost reject that? he didn't remember the last time someone had taken care of him – or rather the last time he'd let someone take care of him – and even if soap was the only one ghost had mentally given permission to, to touch him or see him like this (though they weren't even in a relationship, but they might as well have been at this point), he knew the younger wouldn't take no for an answer if ghost tried.

    or

ghost is exhausted after a very long mission and series of events during. soap takes care of him so he doesn't fall asleep standing up :).
