But, Mahito is the first boy he kisses, the first one to make him realize and admit aloud all the things that keep him up at night, and in some ways, that’s so much worse.
And Gojo calls it romantic, but he’s never put much stock into the ramblings of a sociopath. Five months of fucking and fighting between his pre-semester studies can hardly be called romantic or a relationship.
Insanity, maybe.

His hair is the same dark shade as the majority of the Zen’in, but his eyes are like shattered emeralds, sharp and shining like they’re refracting light from a dozen different points. There’s a pale, vertical scar at the right corner of his mouth.
He plucks one of the books off the table and waves it in Shiwoo’s face. “Why are you going through the weapons’ inventory and records?”
“For the job,” Shiwoo tells him. Frowns, then, “Why aren’t you picking up the dishes?”

And like that, any remaining fury was quelled, replaced with sorrow. Suguru shifted his eyes again, afraid to meet the deep blue of the others’, for fear they’d pierce through himself and reveal all his secrets, for them to look through him as if he were an animal set up for dissection. He thinned his lips to keep words of weakness from escaping his throat.
Satoru looked up. “I miss you,”
The words, just three words, jarred his heart, his very soul. He evened his breath in preparation to speak. Satoru’s phrase rested heavily on his shoulders, threatening him to cave into his vulnerability. To simply give up and walk into the embrace, even if that meant giving it all up.
It was like trying to grab a slippery eel with his bare hands when Suguru tried to get his facial muscles to listen. To turn his lips upwards and show a feeling so far from the truth. Finally, “I didn’t think you had any of that left for me.”
