Summary
You’d think years of living on the streets would have numbed him from the regular sights of the royal guards barging into houses and tearing families apart, taking mothers and daughters away — all because some money minded fools had tipped them off, saying that they had witnessed them practicing witchcraft with their own two eyes. These guards even burned the houses down for good measure. He shouldn’t be surprised anymore, especially since it happened to him. But it never got easier to watch.
One day, he never needed to see those houses get burned down anymore.
