"'No questions!' Kiyoi snapped. His voice was husky from crying but just as authoritative as always. Then it got quieter. 'You don’t want to understand me, remember?' His voice cracked with restrained tears....
'I thought maybe…if I could be with you one last time…get it out of my system…maybe then I could stop thinking about you long enough to start healing…'"

Now that his work was popular he didn't have to stress over deadlines, well, he still did when there were any but it didn't feel like walking straight into a freight train anymore, small mercies he supposed.

Summary
