The words rang out in her head. Repeating over and over again. They gave her a sense of happiness that she hadn't felt in a long time, they made her feel whole. But she also felt a foreign sense, it was a relief.
__When Rafael told Josie that he loved her, she found herself saying it back despite the fact that she didn't. Something just wasn't right.
A certain raven haired girl may have been invading her thoughts and clouding her vision but Josie was - for the time being - utterly clueless.

Hope only spent a month in Malivore before she managed to escape. When she does, she makes her way back to school and immediately tells everybody who she is but decided to have a little bit of fun with it.
__"It's just a girl," Alaric said confused, stepping out into the light. A few others made their way out of the darkness too but Hope's eyes were trained on Ahim.
"Oh thank god it's you, I thought you were a monster" she exclaimed, relief washing over her as her eyes met Alaric's, "Also rude! Since when was I 'just a girl'?"
They looked up at her in sheer confusion and she suddenly remembered that their memories had been taken from them.
"Oh right!" She exclaimed, "You don't remember who I am. Sorry, I forgot about that little detail."

Highschool AU - Penelope is the Popular 'it' girl whilst Josie is the opposite. (I promise it's not as cliche as you think it will be, just stick with me)
There is more to Penelope than meets the eye. She had a rough childhood and genuinely hates her title as the popular girl. She despises having to tear others down to maintain her reputation but the truth is she is just scared. Scared that if lets others see the real her then they won't want her because nobody's ever actually tried to get to know her.
But what happens when Penelope lets slip to Josie that she is not all that she seems to be and Josie makes an effort to know the real Penelope?

{My version of events of how legacies and Penelope & Josie's continued after 1x06. There is no merge in this story}
Josie and Penelope have a fight after 1x06 where Josie confronts her about her intentions with the kiss that they shared. When Penelope is unable to give a straight answer, Josie gets mad and assumes that Penelope was manipulating her. But Penelope can't really tell Josie why she kissed her. She can't tell her that she couldn't stop herself. She couldn't tell Josie how much she missed her and just wanted to cry in her arms and how much she just wants Josie to hold her and tell her how it's going to be okay. Penelope is supposed to be the strong one, the one that saves Josie, not the one that needs saving.
