Summary
“You’re not a very good witcher, are you?” Geralt says bleakly.
Jaskier pats his hand idly. He smiles, benignly, down at Geralt:
“And you’re an absolute disgrace of a bard.”
Geralt the bard meets Jaskier the witcher again, and again, and again.

Summary
Neither hide nor hair of the Emperor's youngest son had been seen in the seven years before Varenechibal IV's death, when the boy had abruptly disappeared from the sad estate to which his father had relegated him. Dead or banished, Maia Drazhar was not present to take the throne. So instead the Ethuveraz had a fourteen-year-old emperor whose thin neck could not support the full weight of the Dachen Mura, his viper's nest of increasingly powerful courtiers, and his scowling, unpleasant regents.
*
Thara Celehar travels to Amalo to witness for the late Emperor, on Idra Drazhar's petition. But once there, he is befriended by a kind, soft-spoken young man with half-goblin dark grey skin, silver Drazhar eyes, a fake name from a wonder-tale, and strange, radical philosophies.
Seven years earlier, eleven-year-old Maia Drazhar is kidnapped from Edonomee by men who believe they can change the world - and who, for the first time in his life, are kind to him.

Summary
He had been part of his father’s government since he was sixteen. He had seen more relegations than he had seen Winternight Balls. He just had not realised that his siblings did not understand it.
“But he wouldn’t,” said Ciris numbly. “Not— not us.”
“Yes, he would,” Nemolis said. “Ciris. He would.”Series

Summary
It is not so very difficult to lay an emperor low. They all see that now. All one needs is an empty room, a span of less than five minutes, and a boot.
Princess Sheveän decides she cannot rely upon her own household’s armsmen to assist with ousting the emperor, opting instead to bring in outside help. Maia reaps the consequences.

Summary
There had been such a long pause after he’d asked her if she was relieved to be marrying Gregory. It had panicked him, that pause, scattered his thoughts like a flock of startled gulls. Bess dipped her chin, denying him her eyes, and he’d filled her silence with praise of his son, fumbling through Gregory’s merits as wretchedly as he’d proffered his own to Wolsey’s daughter. Thomas Cromwell marries Bess Seymour. (Set directly after the misunderstanding in the garden.)
