This is set in the same universe as "fathers and sons", a modern-day no-powers Fukuzawa/Mori AU in which Ranpo is Fukuzawa's teenage son. This could be read as a stand-alone but makes frequent reference to elements in the other story.

Summary
While visiting his childhood friend Kin Toki, Yukichi Fukuzawa is attacked and drugged by an unknown assailant. Ougai Mori travels to Osaka after receiving his call for help, and finds his erstwhile lover wide awake yet barely clinging to consciousness. As they see the next twenty-four hours through, Mori watches over Fukuzawa and makes interesting new discoveries about the government's activities, Fukuzawa, and himself.
Takes place at the very beginning of the Decay of Angels arc.

Summary
There were plenty of other bars on the way home from Doppo Kunikida’s workplace. More than he could count on two hands – he’d tried. He hadn’t actually gone into any of them despite a keen awareness of them – he’d tried.
Kunikida was neither an alcoholic nor a tee-totaler. He didn’t particularly care for the raucous noise in bars, and it was much less cumbersome to drink at home, where he could stumble easily from beneath his kotatsu to the kitchen, bathroom, or bedroom. It was less expensive, more logical, and very convenient to simply have a beer at his apartment – he’d tried.
In spite of his best efforts and strongest reasoning, he always ended up at the same spot on Wednesday nights: a nondescript bar called Feierabend.
