Summary
The boy greets Hongjoong, calling across the room in a smooth, melodious voice. “Welcome to Wake Up (And Bake Up!), I’m Park Seonghwa! Can I interest you in tasting my sweet buns today?”
“W — what,” Hongjoong says, swaying slightly on his feet. He grips the doorframe to steady himself. His inner alpha has gone completely silent and still, apparently stunned as well.
He’s got to be hallucinating. He must be. There’s no way Malibu Barbie over there is a real person. It’s probably the toxic fumes from Wooyoung’s illegally imported laundry detergent making him lightheaded.
He blinks and rubs his eyes roughly, trying to bring himself back to full consciousness on World A. When he opens them again, the boy hasn’t disappeared or been changed in any fashion, other than his friendly expression having fallen a little.
The boy falters, perfect brows furrowing, and Hongjoong’s mind starts to reboot from Full Meltdown Mode. “My sweet buns?” he repeats, tilting his head enticingly. "They’re really good, I promise.”
(Yeah, I fucking bet they are, the disgusting, heinous part of Hongjoong’s brain says.)

jeongin tosses over his shoulder, “have fun giving yongbok the princess treatment! not like you already spoil him rotten or anything.”
chan pauses with one hand on the doorframe, glancing backward. jeongin’s curled up in his super special gaming chair, both feet perched delicately on the edge so he’s staring at the computer through the space between his knees. the blue-tinged screen is the only light in his immediate vicinity. he looks like a gremlin from this side, all hunched over and glaring like he is. it’s a little unnerving.
chan frowns at him, wondering if he needs to limit his screen time. “have some respect, jeongin. felix is still your hyung.” it’s not as sharp as minho might have been, but he’s happy enough with the gentle scolding. at least until jeongin turns to him and makes a wuh-psssh sound, physically miming cracking a whip for good measure.
chan blinks, face going hot. he’s definitely putting a fucking child lock on their router again.

They’re in rehearsal before their last two concerts in Kobe when it happens. It’s just one bad landing, his foot slipping where the stage is dented slightly in one place. No one else notices at first, but Seonghwa feels more than hears the sickening pop in his knee.

When that kind of distraction doesn't work anymore. When everything is louder afterwards and you still feel like something is missing to help you relax.”
Seonghwa breathed a little more easily. “Yes. Exactly.”
There was silence, as if Wooyoung was considering his next words.
“Have you tried anything else?” Wooyoung asked cautiously. “I mean, you know... a different... approach?”
“Approach?” Seonghwa repeated, hesitantly. “You mean something like watching porn while doing it...?”
Wooyoung gestured vaguely. "No, no, I mean... How can I put this... There are more ways to take care of yourself than the standard. You know? Multiple... approaches, angles, doors you can choose... openings...? Come on, do I really have to say it out loud?"
