Summary
“Don’t worry, I’ll do it,” Mike protests weakly, but Will ignores him. “You need to rest, yeah,” he continues softly, swallowing audibly at the thought of Will’s fingers on him again.
“I want to take care of—” Will mumbles, fumbling for gauze and bandages, his focus wavering. Mike notices the flush creeping up Will’s cheeks, bright and vivid against his otherwise pale, tired skin. And it warms something inside Mike, just a little, because Will wants to take care of him.
or; Mike is confused, and maybe Will offering to take care of his wounds after their encounter with Vecna only makes things worse.

Summary
Short, brown curls clung to the boy's forehead, damp with sweat. His brows were slightly drawn, not in anger, but in concentration. His face was composed, serious, but not tense. He looked like he belonged there. Like he was made for this. The other players were good, sure, but none of them moved like that.
Mike lowered the camera slowly, as if waking up from a daze. His heart thudded, but he couldn’t say why.
“…Who the hell is that?”
Mike writes for the school paper and is surprised to find out that he likes volleyball. Well, not really. Maybe just one of the players.

The words Spiderman said surprised even him, but Will didn’t laugh or brush them aside. He just sat there, sketchbook resting loosely on his knees, eyes fixed on the glow of the skyline as if listening in awe. “You really have a way with words, huh? Reminds me of someone.”
When distance grows between him and Will, Mike finds a new way to be near him, even if it's from behind a mask.
