    Spirit gets really drunk, and he's not good at keeping it in. So he ended up vomiting on the ground, in a little hidey spot away from the eyes of many.

    "It's odd to have you here," Stein murmurs. "In this room. In this bed. I thought our time for sleeping like this had ended long ago, and quite decisively."

    There's a familiar distinctiveness to his muzzy enunciation; it's the sound of a problem that disturbs him, that he doesn't have answers for; one that's been eating him when he ought to be asleep.

    To be fair, it's kept Spirit up too. Leading up to this mission, he'd spent nights pacing his apartment, reconciling the fractured trust they've been mending with the (in their case, literal) wounds of teenage betrayal. This would be the first time they roomed together since they were partners in school.
