But even that instant is enough to fill Eddie’s chest with a swell of love so big it feels like his heart might actually push right out of his chest. It’d been Sophia who’d found the coffee shop; three blocks from Eddie’s new station, the perfect place to swing by for a pre-shift burst of energy. It’s not the only one in the area, and as much as Eddie hates to say it, not the best—but the only place where the barista had taken his breath away at first sight and then continued to slide his way into Eddie’s heart, so he can’t really bring himself to care that he only gets the correct order half the time.
