Steps meandering and no way in a hurry, Potter eventually settles beside Draco, looking out towards the great lake.
He rocks back in his ratty Muggle shoes, running a hand through brunet locks and says -- all casual, "So, Malfoy, what do you think about going out with me?"
And Draco -- once his brain starts rearranging itself into some semblance of order--

He thinks-- I can use this.

“It’s the principle of the thing,” Harry snapped. “You can’t abandon years of perfectly functional antagonism for some flashy new rival from overseas. It’s rude.”

Meeting Harry Potter for the second time doesn't go the way Draco expects.
"Malfoy. Draco Malfoy," he introduces himself with a hand stretched out, trying to follow the script he had memorized in his head.
Harry gives him a cold once over, and ever so slowly, he takes Draco's hand in his own, his grip so tight it almost hurts.
That's his first clue.

I would’ve gone to r/ArchnemesisAdvice but I couldn’t find it. Apparently, it’s uncommon to be so invested in someone you hate. Go figure.
